I started stress-eating when Covid hurt my business, now I've lost 20% of my bodyweight
A feature on my personal fitness journey, weight loss and discipline.
I’m Lorenzo Fraquelli, a Londoner with a love of film, business, creativity, motorsport and jiu jitsu. This is where the different bits of my life end up in the same place.

I’m a Londoner, founder and film fan. I’m also a BJJ black belt and coach. I’ve always been curious about how things work, what makes people tick and where an idea might lead.
From growing up in Ladbroke Grove to wanting to make films, studying French and business, and eventually running my own ventures, the route here hasn’t been a straight line.
Today that mix includes Wave BJJ, Society Gym & BJJ, creative work with Lozenge.studio and motorsport with SMC Paradox. They’re different parts of the same life, not the whole picture.
I care about good people, interesting conversations and making things worth coming back to. This site is a place for all of it.
Businesses, creative ideas and a racing project. Here’s what’s keeping me busy.
A West London jiu jitsu academy built around technical training, good people and sticking with it.
A training space bringing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, functional fitness and community together.
A creative studio for design, digital projects and other good ideas.
Racing, driver development and performance. A different kind of precision.
A London programme bringing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to children who might not otherwise get the chance.
Conversations, features and a closer look at some of the things I’ve built.

Life, business, ideas and the small details that add up.
A few thoughts on long term progress, staying calm under pressure, and why consistency matters more than intensity.

If ADHD (diagnosed by my mate Ruaidhri) has taught me one thing, you don't have to be one thing
I’ve never had just one interest. Film, business, creative work and motorsport have all been part of the picture, alongside jiu jitsu.
I like following a good idea, learning as I go and seeing where it leads.
